About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at GoodHome Painting Inc. as an Exterior and Interior Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Repair and Finishing: Repair cracks and holes, and apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and plan the work accordingly.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate airless spray equipment, brush painting, conventional spray painting, and roller painting.
  • Surface Preparation Experience: Have experience with drywall taping/patching.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in painting and surface finishing.
  • Work Environment: Work outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and with odours.
  • Work Setting: Work at various locations.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with ability to bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • Weight Handling: Handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Personal Qualities
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to pay attention to detail and ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Ability to coordinate hand and eye movements to apply paint and other materials accurately.
  • Colour Recognition: Ability to distinguish between colours and ensure accurate colour matching.
  • Team Player: Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Language and Work Conditions
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
