At Southbridge Care Homes, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team as a Resident Support Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and support to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that promote resident well-being.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining resident dignity and respect.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging in activities that promote socialization and relaxation.

Requirements:

  • PSW Program Certificate or Diploma that meets the appropriate standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, the National Association of Career Colleges, or the Ontario Community Support Association.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of care planning systems and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
