Key Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of biweekly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Manage full-cycle payroll responsibilities for the company, including biweekly payroll processing for Canadian employees.
- Manage benefits enrollment and support implementation of company benefits program.
- Support new employee onboarding and assist leadership with drafting of contracts.
- Work with managers on ad hoc HR projects.
- Oversee and manage the payroll processing for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations related to payroll and benefits.
- Maintain and update payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Supervise payroll staff and coordinate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Prepare and review payroll reports for management and auditing purposes.
- Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain payroll systems and software updates.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for payroll transactions.
- Manage year-end processes, including T4s, Relevé 1, and other tax-related forms.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve payroll processing efficiency.
- Stay current on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- ~ 5+ years of relevant experience in payroll management.
- ~ Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and laws in Quebec and Canada.
