About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our Nonclinical Safety team at AbCellera.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of toxicology studies to assess the safety of our drug candidates. Key responsibilities include designing, planning, and commissioning in vitro and/or in vivo toxicology studies, communicating toxicology study results internally, and updating nonclinical safety study data records according to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct toxicology studies under regulatory guidelines
  • Communicate study results and update data records
  • Author regulatory documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Maintain knowledge of published toxicology data relevant to AbCellera's product portfolio
Requirements
  • PhD in Toxicology or related field, or MSc plus 2-5 years of experience in an academic or industry environment
  • Experience with in vitro and/or in vivo toxicology studies
  • Proficiency in nonclinical safety assessment of large molecules/biologics
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration
Compensation

A competitive salary range is CAD $75,200 - $94,000 annually, commensurate with education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% RRSP contribution.
