About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cost Control Expert to join our team. As a Cost Control Expert, you will play a key role in analyzing and ensuring the integrity of cost controls within our projects. Your responsibility will be to ensure compliance with established standards and collaborate with the project team in establishing budget structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity and conformity of revenues and actual costs declared on projects on a monthly basis.
  • Analyze and ensure the integrity of monthly closing cost controls, including inter-divisional transactions.
  • Collaborate in monitoring risks and opportunities and discuss major deviations with the Cost Control Manager and Regional Leadership.
  • Take ownership in including administrative teams in project start-ups and resolving issues to ensure smooth administrative running of projects.
  • Collaborate with project team in developing a cost control structure for stewardship projects.
  • Report any discrepancies or major problems identified during the cost control review to the Cost Control Manager and Regional Leadership.
  • Have active participation in developing new analysis tools and coordinate their implementation while providing training to users (Dashboard and others).
  • Assist in training new employees on cost control tools and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, management, business administration, or finance-related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position within the construction industry.
  • Ability to anticipate and plan priority tasks, good listening skills, and synthesis abilities.
