Job Title: Production Floater w TD

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Floater with Technical Director (TD) expertise to join our dynamic team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of live broadcasts, including news programs, sports events, and other high-profile productions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with editorial teams to plan, execute, and post-produce daily newscasts
  • Operate broadcast control systems, including cuing on-air talent, camera resources, coding, routing live sources, and managing audio levels
  • Work with producers to build video playlists for our 24/7 streaming channel
  • Continuously improve our on-air product by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes in collaboration with the production team
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in television control room leadership, with a strong background in broadcast software (e.g., iNews, Inception, Grass Valley, OBS, Bannister Lake, Open Media, ENPS)
  • Technical knowledge of broadcast systems and peripherals, with a strong analytical and problem-solving skillset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience acting as a team lead or project manager, with a strong understanding of production workflows and timelines
