Nuclear Inspector - Level B

Primary Function:

To perform all tasks of a Nuclear Inspector - Level B and to conduct non-destructive examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform NDE based on certifications in all areas of the Shop.
  • Read and interpret documentation, including drawings and operating procedures.
  • Create inspection reports, maintain and file documentation.
  • Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members and customer representatives.
  • Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety, and environmental guidelines/regulations.
  • Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.

Requirements:

  • Proven commitment to workplace safety.
  • Must possess either MT CGSB-2 or PT CGSB-2 plus two of the following six:
    • CEDO
    • UT CGSB-1
    • RT CGSB-1
    • Two years as a Fabrication/Machining inspector within BWXT Canada Ltd.
    • Five years as a Fabrication/Machine inspector with documented evidence from an external company or five years Fitting/Welding experience within BWXT Canada Ltd.
    • Certified Weld Inspector (AWS-CWI or CWB2).
  • Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in the nuclear power-related industry.
  • Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member.
  • Proficient with computer software.
  • Must be available to work any of the following shifts:
    • Days: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm.
    • Nights: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
