The University of British Columbia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced physician to join our team as a Faculty Development Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our faculty members and enhance the quality of our residency program.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement faculty development programs and resources to support the professional growth of our faculty members.
- Collaborate with the Faculty Development Portfolio Director to provide program-wide workshops and training sessions for clinical faculty.
- Act as a resource for local faculty members, providing guidance and support in areas such as resident teaching and education.
- Participate in program-wide and departmental initiatives, including resident selection and recruitment activities.
- Work closely with other site faculty to ensure that faculty development activities are structured to provide support for evaluation, curriculum, and research.
- Membership and certificant of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
- Eligible for licensure in B.C.
- Eligible for Clinical Faculty Appointment through UBC.
- Experience in medical education leadership and administration.
- Demonstrated ability in teaching and working with residents.
