About the Role

The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Director of Real Estate Investments to join our team. As a key member of our Real Estate department, you will play a leading role in shaping our real estate investment strategy and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive real estate investment strategy that aligns with our organization's overall investment objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the real estate market.
  • Collaborate with our Real Estate team to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities, and provide expert guidance on investment decisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals, brokers, and investors to stay informed about market developments and trends.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to our investment teams to ensure that our real estate investments are aligned with our overall investment strategy.
  • Stay up-to-date with market developments and trends, and provide regular updates and insights to our leadership team.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate investment, research, or portfolio management.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful real estate investment strategies.
  • Strong understanding of real estate markets, property types, and investment vehicles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
