Job Title: Emergency Department Nurse at Halton Healthcare

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As an Emergency Department Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and nursing assessment in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer care to adult and pediatric patients with diverse needs, from stabilization of critically ill patients to providing first aid.
  • Transport critical patients to other facilities for specialized care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop effective care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current ACLS Certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency nursing experience.
  • ECG monitoring skills.
  • Post-diploma Emergency courses.
  • Computer skills.
  • IV therapy skills.
  • Excellent teaching and public relations skills.
  • Good team player.
  • Self-directed with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Meet physical demands of the position.
  • Good employment and attendance record.
