Facilities Service Worker

About the Role

The Victoria Conservatory of Music is seeking a skilled Facilities Service Worker to join our team. As a key member of our facilities staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our students, faculty, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the building and property are kept clean and orderly at all times
  • Perform routine cleaning activities, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting
  • Set up rooms and equipment for classes and lessons
  • Facilitate room entry and control for faculty and students

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
  • Experience with using cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and objects
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion for periods of time
  • Background in handling and using cleaning chemicals
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules
  • Excellent communication skills
