About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team at Blackpepper. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality dishes are served to our customers.

Job Description
  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate special events and menus with our management team
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs to maintain profitability
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for efficient service delivery
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to meet operational needs
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet customer expectations
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure high-quality service
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, records, and equipment maintenance
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience as a chef in a similar role
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or related field (an asset)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
