Overview

Raymond de Beeld Architect Inc is a leading architectural firm seeking a highly skilled Architectural Design Lead to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of various architectural projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing architectural design concepts that meet the client's requirements and our firm's standards
  • Collaborating with our design team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Conducting feasibility studies and financial analyses of building projects to ensure that they are viable and profitable
  • Supervising the preparation of drawings, specifications, and other construction documents for use by contractors and tradespersons
  • Working with clients to determine the type, style, and purpose of renovations or new building construction being considered
  • Generating building plans and detailed drawings to be used by contractors and tradespersons
  • Negotiating contracts with clients with a focus on design, construction time, price, or others
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
  • Membership in the Provincial Association of Architects
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with clients and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency in architectural software programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of physical and mental stamina. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly and effectively. You will also be required to work at a computer for long periods of time and travel to construction sites as needed.
