Job Title: Professional Long Haul Truck Driver

At ABHAY TRUCKING INC., we are seeking a skilled and experienced long haul truck driver to join our team. As a long haul truck driver, you will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials across the country.
• Load and unload goods at designated delivery points.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials efficiently.
• Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Perform brake adjustments and other routine maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle reliability.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch to coordinate delivery schedules and routes.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to track performance and efficiency.

Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses:

• Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
• Driver's License (Class 1 or A).

Transportation/Travel Experience:

• Long-haul experience required.

Security and Safety:

• Basic security clearance required.
• Driving record check (abstract) required.

Personal Suitability:

• Organized and able to work independently.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Hardworking and able to meet deadlines.
