About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Administrator to join our team at ATCO Ltd. - Common Groups. As a key member of our database team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, data integrity, and availability of our database systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and support our multi-cloud database environments, including Oracle and SQL Server, to ensure high availability and resiliency.
  • Implement database solutions using tools and interfaces, such as Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement database requirements, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in database technologies, including Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL, and provide oversight of service providers responsible for managing ATCO database environments.
  • Contribute to the formulation and definition of system scope and objective based on operational or project requirements as they relate to ATCO database infrastructure.
Requirements
  • College diploma or bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in database management environments, with a proven track record of working in agile database teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve access-related issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and end-users.
