Investment Services Team Member

Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Investment Services team as a Junior Investment Analyst. This temporary full-time position will provide the successful candidate with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in investment portfolio administration and asset management.

About the Role

The Junior Investment Analyst will support the investment team in various tasks, including:

  • Coordinating with custodial banks and investment managers to receive account information
  • Monitoring investment holdings and reconciling information to ensure accuracy
  • Contributing to the drafting of investment reports
  • Undertaking data analysis for projects and specific task assignments
  • Updating and modifying data management procedures as necessary
  • Assisting in the maintenance and creation of proprietary databases
  • Supporting the investment team during their due diligence process with respect to prospective fund managers and potential investments
  • Assisting in research projects as requested by the Chief Investment Officer, portfolio managers, and analysts
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess:

  • A strong interest in developing a working knowledge of financial markets and investment research
  • A desire to learn about various asset classes and markets
  • Analytical, writing, and presentation skills
