We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Fresh Prep, a leading meal kit delivery service in Canada. As a Production Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities, overseeing the production process, and driving efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production teams, including ingredient portioning and finished product assembly.
- Ensure that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and performance expectations are well understood and adhered to.
- Mentor and lead production staff, including Lead Hands, Runners, and Production Associates.
- Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Manage employee feedback and conduct constructive performance evaluations.
- Oversee budget and KPI alignment for associated production departments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing initiatives to drive year-over-year growth.
- Plan and coordinate production activities, including labor scheduling, ingredient and packaging materials availability, process improvement projects, and contingency planning.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and GMP regulations, company SOPs, and policies.
- Conduct incident investigations and facilitate corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, production, quality assurance, and human resources.
- 3 years of experience supervising productivity, efficiency, and process improvement in a food manufacturing plant setting.
- 2 years of experience grooming direct reports, promoting key players, and conducting employee performance management.
- 2 years of experience liaising with purchasing, production, quality assurance, and human resources departments.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience is strongly preferred.
- Automated processing, production, and/or packaging line experience is preferred.
