At Spark Power, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar and energy storage systems across our service area.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on utility, rooftop, and energy storage system assets, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Electrical Testing and Troubleshooting: Use electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, meggers, and thermal imagery, to identify and resolve issues with solar and energy storage systems.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete maintenance logs, work orders, service reports, and safety documentation to ensure accurate records and compliance with industry standards.
- Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues and customers to ensure seamless project execution and excellent customer service.
- Adherence to Safety Protocols: Follow all Health and Safety policies to maintain a zero-incident workplace and ensure the well-being of yourself and others.
- Electrical Experience: Minimum 2 years of electrical experience, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent, with post-secondary education in electrical or mechanical engineering an asset. Electrical license and valid driver's license required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Soft Skills: Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
