Solar Energy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Technician to join our team at Spark Power. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for traveling to job sites, building and maintaining solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle infrastructure. You will work on electrical and mechanical components of renewable energy assets, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and complete maintenance logs and safety documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle infrastructure
- Complete maintenance logs, work orders, and safety documentation
- Use electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, meggers, and thermal imagery
- Follow and implement LOTO plans and procedures
- Interpret schematics and blueprints
- Quality assurance checklists and inspections
- Work in a team-based environment and independently
- Participate in on-call weekend services
- 309A/442 Electrical License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary education with an electrical or mechanical base is an asset
- Valid Driver's License with a suitable driving record
- Ability to lift 34kg (75lb)
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn
- Customer-focused attitude with an ability to represent Spark Power positively and professionally
- Firm commitment to safety
