Position Summary:
The Lead Control Software Engineer will be instrumental in advancing the capabilities of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to ensure rapid responsiveness to grid demands and supply fluctuations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the drafting and negotiation of technical specifications for fast-response BESS plant controllers.
- Oversee the verification, testing, and commissioning processes for cutting-edge BESS controllers.
- Mentor and guide team members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs within established timelines and budgets.
- Innovate new tools and processes, collaborating with stakeholders to enhance the technology and engineering delivery pipeline.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in control software development, demonstrating a successful track record in production deployments.
- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in power grid operations, renewable energy integration, and model-based control software development.

Technical Skills:
- Experience with Linux operating systems and scripting languages such as Python.
- Familiarity with relationship and time series databases.
- Ability to write automated tests and manage multiple projects effectively in an Agile environment.

Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, including potential international travel.
