As a Master Craftsman with RMS Builders Inc., you will play a vital role in delivering high-standard construction projects across Alberta. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, including general carpentry, roofing, demolition, and specialized carpentry work. You will also participate in shop assignments, preparing and assembling components for installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general carpentry tasks, including construction, installation, renovation, and repair.
  • Engage in structural carpentry to construct and repair building frameworks and structures.
  • Conduct demolition work in preparation for renovations and new constructions.
  • Execute minimal finish carpentry and focus primarily on rough carpentry tasks.
  • Undertake special carpentry projects as required.
  • Participate in shop work, preparing and assembling components for installation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the carpentry trade.
  • Possess personal transportation.
  • Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Hard Hat, Steel Toe Boots, Eye Protection, Gloves.
  • A benefit to possess valid safety tickets (Fall Arrest, WHMIS, CSTS, Aerial Lift, and Fit Testing); recertification will be provided as needed.
  • Ability to arrive at the worksite on time and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Should own a set of hand tools.
  • Proficient in understanding the logistics of residential, commercial, and multiple building envelope scopes of work.
  • Comfortable working at heights and taking precise measurements in both metric and imperial units.
  • Skilled in the use of powered tools such as Shear, Nibbler, Skillsaw, Jigsaw, Chop Saw, Table Saw, Miter Saw, etc.
  • Ability to speak and read English.

Compensation and Benefits:

The hourly wage for this position is $33.00, paid for 40 hours of work per week. After 300 hours of continuous employment, you will be eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical coverage, dental care, vision care, life insurance, and disability coverage.
