Your Responsibilities:

• Provide professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests
• Assist guests with mail, messages, and plans or arrangements, including onsite and offsite activities
• Inform and assist guests regarding hotel facilities
• Draft Word and Excel documents related to guest information, ensuring thoroughness and detail
• Promote and sell hotel services and concessions, as well as services offered by suppliers
• Assist guests with dining reservations and group/special occasions dining needs
• Provide personalized and specialized service to VIP guests through pre-arrival communication and follow-up throughout their stay and post-departure
• Act as a liaison and resource for other departments and employees
• Follow department policies, procedures, and service standards
• Assist with the care and supervision of the Jasper Park Lodge's Canine Ambassador
• Stay aware of daily functions and promotions in the hotel
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies
• Adhere to hotel vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
• Assist with VIP Concierge/Butler duties, including corresponding with guests by phone and email prior to arrival, assisting with dining, BBQ orders, flower requests, cabin stock requests, activity bookings, spa, and transportation inquiries, meeting and greeting arriving Butler Guests, providing hotel orientation, and escorting guests to their rooms
• Remain in regular contact with guests in-house to ensure a seamless, personalized, enjoyable, and comfortable stay
• Surprise and delight guests at every opportunity and work with other departments to expedite requests
• Contact arriving elite ALL members (Gold/Platinum/Diamond/Limitless) prior to arrival, personalizing pre-arrival emails, reviewing and acting on preferences from ACDC, reviewing room blocking, and ensuring all earned privileges are extended consistently
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Previous customer-related experience required
• Previous administrative experience required
• Excellent knowledge of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, the town of Jasper, and local attractions preferred
• Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications an asset
• Previous experience with Property Manager and Open Table and Kipsu text messaging system an asset
• Pro Serve certification an asset
• Valid Alberta driver's license an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Highly responsible and reliable, self-starter, and goal-oriented
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

• Fast-paced, upscale, luxury hotel
• Close proximity to Marmot Basin Ski Resorts in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summer
• Hospitality employees worldwide, making this a great place to develop lifelong connections
• Sitting: 0-1 hrs/day
• Walking: 7-8 hrs/day
• Standing: 7-8 hrs/day
• Bending/Reaching: 0-3 hrs/day
• Pushing/Pulling: 0-3 hrs/day
• Physical effort: medium, required to lift up to 50lbs
• Environmental stress: busy atmosphere

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
