Heavy Equipment Operator for Highway Maintenance

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in highway maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment, including traffic control equipment, vac truck, boom truck, bucket truck, dump truck, and excavator.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy machinery, with experience in highway construction and maintenance. A valid Ontario Class DZ license is required, and a good driving record is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a range of heavy equipment, including traffic control equipment, vac truck, boom truck, bucket truck, dump truck, and excavator
- Maintain highways, roads, and bridges to ensure they are safe and in good condition for drivers
- Set up and remove traffic control measures in accordance with OTM Book 7
- Work with concrete, asphalt, and steel, including welding, cutting, and forming
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in bridge/road construction and maintenance
- Valid Ontario Class DZ license required; a good driving record is essential
- Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Highly developed sense of safety awareness and perceptive ability
