Freeride Coach

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freeride Coach to join our team at Whitewater Ski Resort. As a Freeride Coach, you will be responsible for coaching our athletes in the advancement of their skiing progression over the season.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach skiing in a professional and thorough manner in accordance with the standards set forth by Whitewater Ski Resort.
• Foster a friendly relationship with our athletes to help continue to make the Whitewater Freeride Team a leader in the freeriding community.
• Work closely with the Head Coach to inform athletes and parents of important program information.
• Maintain a positive attitude while coaching athletes or interacting with other staff.
• Assist with the organization of groups and travel with teams when needed.
• Champion a sustainable approach in daily operations, planning, and development.
• Promote Whitewater's safety culture by reviewing Department Manuals and the Employee Handbook.
• Work to achieve department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assist in achieving organizational goals.
• Embrace, promote, and follow Whitewater's mission statement and values.
• Maintain current knowledge of legal standards pertaining to waivers, equipment, safety regulations, and OHS practices.

Requirements:

• IFSA L100, CSIA, ACA, or CFSA level 1 certification as a minimum (or equivalent), with dues paid in full.
• Experience in freeride competitions.
• Experience working with children.
