Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Discount Trucking & Construction Ltd. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and perform preventive maintenance
  • Load and unload goods, and obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
Requirements
  • AZ class license and Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
