At Top Quality Lumber Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Fabrication and Welding Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. They will read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes to ensure that welds meet standards and/or specifications.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a physically demanding setting. They will possess strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Interpreting welding process specifications
  • Operating manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
  • Reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
  • Examining welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Maintaining and performing minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of welding processes and procedures, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will be required to work in a safe and efficient manner, following all relevant health and safety protocols and procedures.
