Job Description
  • Oversee client engagements to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and satisfactory delivery
  • Manage files, set project budgets, plan project activities, monitor progress by staff, and review projects for accuracy and completeness
  • Act as the day-to-day client relationship manager
  • Review financial statements and corresponding tax returns for select clients
  • Prepare submissions for CRA
  • Create and act on business development opportunities with existing and potential clients
Requirements
  • Designated CPA
  • 4+ years of public practice experience with a focus on audit engagements (planning, executing, and completing financial audits)
  • Experience managing a team (1+ years)
  • Highly knowledgeable of ASPE, ASNPO, and generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques
  • Ability to research and analyze financial statement and audit-related issues
  • Ability to provide accounting insights to clients in a clear and concise manner, including insights into complex accounting issues
  • Understanding of the issues and challenges faced by small-to-medium-sized businesses
  • Independent, highly motivated, and self-starter
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple clients simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong client relationship building skills are essential
Compensation
  • Salary $80,000-$110,000
  • 3-4 weeks of vacation
  • Extended health and dental benefits
