Job Title: Manager, Technical Implementation

Join Sun Life Financial, a leading insurance company, as a Manager, Technical Implementation. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the implementation of innovative de-risking solutions for defined benefit pension plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate implementation processes from beginning to end and ensure adequate tracking of progress.
  • Lead the implementation team and act as a mentor, decision-making and training resource to support the team in achieving great results.
  • Understand the member experience and how new implementations and system set up might impact that experience.
  • Complete member web experience testing to ensure desired experience is achieved.
  • Act as subject matter expert for implementation work in various projects and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or statistics.
  • Minimum of 5 years of insurance or pension experience in an actuarial role, and on a path to finalize their SOA/CIA actuarial exams curriculum; 10+ years of insurance and/or pension experience in an actuarial role and previous relevant experience in people management.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Very strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills that allow for challenging analysis.
  • Strong curiosity and proactivity with the capacity to identify potential risks early on.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide.
