About the Opportunity

Forge Recruitment is currently engaged in a search for a Real Estate Law Clerk to support a boutique size firm in their downtown Toronto office. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the firm's Real Estate Practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lawyers with financing transactions, including lender and borrower matters
• Prepare reporting letters and closing books for transactions
• Assist with the preparation and negotiation of electronic registration documents and real estate conveyancing documents
• Conduct, review, and report on title and off-title searches and related due diligence
• Assist lawyers with commercial real estate purchase and sale transactions, including residential transactions on occasion
• Provide mentorship and training to junior members of the team

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience working on complex commercial and residential real estate transactions in a law firm
• Law Clerk diploma
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Teraview, and understanding of real estate legislation and practices
