Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Support Specialist to join our team at Dynacare. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care by processing blood samples and other laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Process blood samples and other laboratory specimens with attention to detail and adherence to established protocols.
  • Enter requisitions and results accurately into our computer system to ensure seamless communication between departments.
  • Provide top-notch customer service to patients and healthcare providers, responding to their inquiries and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Display empathy and compassion when interacting with patients who may be experiencing stressful or anxious situations.
  • Contribute to meeting departmental quality metrics, regulatory compliance, and quality indicators through your dedication to accuracy and precision.
Requirements:
  • Completion of Secondary School and Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with phlebotomy training.
  • A strong customer focus and genuine care for patients' health and well-being.
  • Phlebotomy skills and ability to manage anxious patients with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage your workload effectively within a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.
  • Detailed orientation and proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Benefits
  • This is a 1-year contract part-time position with a guaranteed 15 hours per week.
  • The working schedule is Monday to Saturday, 6:45 am - 5:30 pm in Laboratory and Health Services Center locations.

Estimated Salary: $25-$35 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Total estimated annual salary: $50,000-$72,000 per year.
