Job DescriptionAs a System Administrator - Data Protection Specialist at Tata Consultancy Services, you will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting backup issues, providing day-to-day technical support to production backup systems.
You will also be setting up and configuring the Commvault backup Tool for all VMs, managing the Master server and the Media server, and resolving Auxiliary copy and data ageing backup job operations.
We require strong technical skills on Commvault and other backup tools like Avamar, NetBackup, and Backup Execution.
The ideal candidate will have experience on resolving the Auxiliary copy and data ageing backup job operations, VMWare and Agent level backup troubleshooting skills, and configuring backup type, Exchange, NDMP, SQL, Unix, and Windows.
You will define and implement backup and retention policies to ensure data is protected, monitor backup jobs, and troubleshoot issues related to backup and restore.
Additionally, you will optimize backup and recovery performance, maintain security measures to protect backup data from unauthorized access, ensuring compliance, and work with different teams such as network, OS, and application to ensure the integration and operation of the environment.
You will regularly conduct backup and recovery tests to verify the integrity of data backup and the recovery process.
**Salary:** We offer a competitive salary in the range of **$80,000 - $120,000 per annum**, depending on your location and experience.
