Job Title: Indian Cuisine Chef

We are seeking a skilled Indian Cuisine Chef to join our team at Chef of India. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate special events and plan menus to meet customer demands
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs to ensure profitability
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain inventory levels
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to order
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to maintain a smooth operation
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
