Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Plumber Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Linamar Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plumbing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and water supply networks.
- Assemble, install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
- Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines.
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
- Travel to job sites to complete work and train and oversee apprentices and labourers.
- Ensure all work is completed according to plumbing code and maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and work site.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, preferably in a technical program.
- Current Ontario license for Journeyman Plumber 306A or Pipefitter 307A, or Sr. Apprentices.
- Minimum of 3 years experience, or schooling.
- Good math and measurement skills, excellent manual dexterity, and exceptional active listening and problem-solving skills.
- Plumbing license, Gas Technician 3 (asset), Gas Technician 2 (asset), and Backflow tester (asset).
