Business Development Manager

Job Summary:
Mircom Group of Companies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and seizing new business development opportunities in the Mid-West region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and strengthen relationships with Engineered Systems Distributors (ESDs) to drive revenue growth and market share.
- Execute Mircom's strategic plans and uphold the company's values at all times.
- Meet or exceed revenue and customer targets for the territory.
- Network and develop relationships within the marketplace and vertical markets.
- Provide value engineering on RFQs and quotations to ESDs.
- Proactively gather market intelligence and uncover opportunities in growth verticals.
- Deliver sales wins in growth areas and provide leads through Construct Connect, networking, and social media outlets.
- Assist in implementing training in technology, products, sales skills, and project registration.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and association programs.
Requirements and Skills:
- 1-3 years of sales management experience.
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a similar field.
- 2+ years of experience in the Fire/Security or similar industry.
- Self-motivator with a proven organizational track record.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of PC-based applications (Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft AX CRM software is an asset.
- Possess a current valid driver's license.
- NICET certification is a bonus.
- Social media savvy.
- Technically proficient to review and discuss project plans.
- Willingness to travel within the territory, including some overnight and air travel.
