Job Summary:

Mircom Group of Companies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and seizing new business development opportunities in the Mid-West region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with Engineered Systems Distributors (ESDs) to drive revenue growth and market share.
  • Execute Mircom's strategic plans and uphold the company's values at all times.
  • Meet or exceed revenue and customer targets for the territory.
  • Network and develop relationships within the marketplace and vertical markets.
  • Provide value engineering on RFQs and quotations to ESDs.
  • Proactively gather market intelligence and uncover opportunities in growth verticals.
  • Deliver sales wins in growth areas and provide leads through Construct Connect, networking, and social media outlets.
  • Assist in implementing training in technology, products, sales skills, and project registration.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and association programs.

Requirements and Skills:

  • 1-3 years of sales management experience.
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a similar field.
  • 2+ years of experience in the Fire/Security or similar industry.
  • Self-motivator with a proven organizational track record.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of PC-based applications (Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft AX CRM software is an asset.
  • Possess a current valid driver's license.
  • NICET certification is a bonus.
  • Social media savvy.
  • Technically proficient to review and discuss project plans.
  • Willingness to travel within the territory, including some overnight and air travel.
