Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities, including mechanical and electrical jobs, preventive maintenance, and shutdowns.
  • Research and prioritize maintenance work orders, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to production.
  • Develop and maintain a weekly maintenance schedule, working closely with maintenance supervisors and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with contractors and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of maintenance activities.
  • Monitor and manage maintenance work order backlogs, ensuring timely completion and minimizing delays.
  • Participate in regular review meetings to discuss overdue, unplanned, and pending work, ensuring proactive maintenance and minimizing downtime.
  • Assist in the development of predictive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment availability and uptime.
  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities.
  • Perform other duties as directed by maintenance supervisors and the maintenance manager.
Requirements:
  • Apprenticeship program, technical school, or associate's degree in a relevant field.
  • Journeyman certificate and/or industrial mechanic millwright and/or industrial electrician certification an asset.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work effectively.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in maintenance scheduling or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
