Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Yamiyaki Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain high-quality standards
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and manage inventory levels
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Prepare budget and cost estimates to optimize kitchen operations
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform kitchen decisions
- Prepare and submit reports to management on kitchen performance and areas for improvement
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service or kitchen management role
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures and regulations
