We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Mid-Market Mergers to join our team in Vancouver. As a key member of our Mid-Market Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Group, you will play a critical role in providing M&A services to private Canadian companies.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee research and documentation prepared by Analysts and Associates
- Assist Directors in preparation of internal and external marketing materials
- Support Directors in the preparation and presentation of marketing pitches to existing and potential clients
- Oversee preparation of integrated financial models to support analysis in proposals and transaction documents
- Assume day-to-day responsibility for transaction execution, including quality control
- Under direction of team members, follow up and engage with RBC partners including Commercial Banking, Capital Markets, and Wealth Management
- Undergraduate degree with a focus in Business, Economics, Mathematics or other quantitative fields
- 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience in financial services – accounting, commercial banking, or investment banking
- Prior experience in a Corporate Finance or M&A capacity
- Strong ability to prepare integrated financial models including discounted cash flow and valuation analysis
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks while meeting time-sensitive deadlines
- Strong computer literacy with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel presentation skills
- Ability to use research tools to extract relevant background material for business development and transaction support
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
