In collaboration with the Quality Control Supervisor, the HACCP coordinator ensures adherence to the HACCP system requirements, including maintaining the SQF certification, Food Safety & Quality training, and audits.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, reassess, and improve HACCP plans
  • Maintain, reassess, and improve Prerequisite Programs
  • Maintain, reassess, and improve Manual of Operations
  • Document control of HACCP and Quality related documentation
  • Verify and coordinate corrective actions for all HACCP documents
  • Changes or additions to products, processes, ingredients
  • Responsible as alternate SQF Practitioner
  • Understand and implement SQF audit requirements
  • Maintain the requirements for food quality, safety, and defense
  • Support the production department with process improvement projects and act as a resource when needed
  • Lead annual quality and food safety training, including updates to training material
  • Complete annual CCP training
  • Complete annual HACCP & GMP refresher training
  • New hire quality training
  • CFIA audits
  • SQF & customer audits
  • Internal audits to evaluate HACCP & SQF programs
  • Provide corrective actions to respond to non-conformances
  • Maintain the requirements for Health & Safety
  • Perform laboratory purchases and maintaining of the inventory

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or Microbiology, or a related science
  • Minimum 1-3 years of related industry experience
  • HACCP training; SQF Practitioner
  • Auditing experience
  • SQF experience preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
