About Zurich's Construction Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Underwriting expert to join our team. As our ideal candidate, you will have a strong background in construction underwriting, with a proven track record of portfolio management and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the selection and denial of new and renewal business for a large region or line of business.
  • Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated authority levels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the organization's sales culture with brokers and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in underwriting, market facing, broker, carrier, or risk management.
  • Experience in a specialized line of business or segment.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CAR-EAR experience required.
  • Engineering degree a plus.
  • Expertise in sustainable, renewable energy required.
  • Both property and liability experience in construction required.
