Job Description: At Dean Wood Construction Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Master Craftsman - Construction and Building to join our team. This role involves assisting in construction projects, working at heights, outdoors, with noisy and dusty conditions. Key responsibilities include preparing estimates, reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, building foundations, and supervising workers.

Responsibilities:

  • • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs
  • • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials
  • • Build, install, and maintain foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems
  • • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • • Supervise and coordinate other workers
  • • Estimate costs, materials, and resources
  • • Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and renovations of residential and commercial structures

Additional Support: This role requires providing physical accessibility accommodations and participating in government or community programs supporting various groups, including newcomers, refugees, youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.

Work Details: This is a permanent position, 40 hours per week, requiring English language proficiency, working at a construction site with outdoors work.
