Job Title: Plastics Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled Plastics Machine Operator to join our team at EPL Plastics. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our plastic processing equipment to ensure high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain plastic processing equipment, including mixing machines, calender machines, and extruding machines.
  • Weigh and mix resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae.
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced to ensure it meets our high standards.
  • Unload mixture into containers or conveyors for further processing.
  • Set up and operate calender machines to transform plastic bales or slabs into continuous sheets or films of specified thickness.
  • Adjust calender rollers for production line changes.
  • Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die.
  • Change dies on extruding machines according to production line changes.
  • Set up and operate moulding machines to mould plastic products.
  • Prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line changes.
  • Follow formulation cards to mix resin batches for injection moulding processes.
  • Organize and maintain inventory.
  • Perform trimming and sanding of plastic or fiberglass parts.
