About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at Stonehelm Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of buildings, bridges, and other structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments
  • Commercial, residential, and construction experience
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines
