Located in Kamloops, British Columbia, this neurology position offers a unique opportunity to work in a well-run and established Stroke/Rehabilitation combined unit. The Royal Inland Hospital is a 258-bed facility that serves as the referral centre for approximately 250,000 people, and is located in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap Health Service Area.

Kamloops is a vibrant city of 100,000, set on a vast landscape of sandstone canyons, grasslands and evergreen timberlands. It takes pride in its arts community and First Nations culture, represented in sites throughout the city, theatre events and music festivals. The city has plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, including fishing and kayaking or heading up to Sun Peaks Four Season Resort for world-class mountain biking, skiing and snowboarding.

The hospital offers high-level, specialty medical care, including core physician specialties, 24-hour Emergency and Trauma Services, Ambulatory and Outpatient Clinics, and Diagnostic Services. The Clinical Services Building houses a modern Electrophysiology Lab, polysomnography lab, and urgent Neurology/Stroke clinic. In this position, you will enjoy dedicated clinic space and admin support.

You will work alongside a team of experienced healthcare professionals, including emergency medicine physicians, neurosurgeons, vascular surgeons, physiatrists, hospitalists, family physicians, general internists, intensivists, cardiologists, nephrologists, infectious disease specialists, radiologists, and other subspecialists. The current group has certifications in Neurophysiology, Vascular Neurology, and Movement Disorders.

This permanent Neurology position offers a competitive salary range of $400,000 - $600,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, relocation funding is available up to $15,000. Part-time opportunities may be eligible for a pro-rated reimbursement. Other benefits include a comprehensive health insurance plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
