About Our Opportunity

The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a highly skilled Overpayment Clerk to join our team in the Department of Community Services. As an Overpayment Clerk, you will be responsible for completing detailed and complex calculations of overpayments/underpayments incurred by recipients under the Income Assistance and Employment Support (ESIA) Program.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Maintain accurate information and assessable data
  • Complete thorough analyses and cross-reference various information sources
  • Document and communicate results of calculations to ESIA Caseworkers
  • Add overpayment/underpayment to the ICM system
  • Meet applicable time frames as per legislation
Qualifications and Experience

You must have at least four (4) years of related experience in accounting, administration, and/or bookkeeping. Excellent accuracy in completing mathematical calculations and attention to detail is key, as well as the ability to analyze information and exercise good judgment while accessing case file information.

Pay Grade: CL 18

Salary Range: $1,684.00 - $1,884.17 Bi-Weekly
