Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Security Operations Manager, responsible for managing all aspects of our physical security and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a safe and secure working environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain security systems, including policies and procedures.
  • Conduct security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend solutions.
  • Develop and implement security plans, protocols, and programs to protect people, property, information, and assets.
  • Monitor and investigate security breaches, determine root causes, and develop corrective action plans.
  • Select and oversee installation and maintenance of security equipment, such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems.
  • Train employees on security procedures, including proper badge use, handling of sensitive materials, and evacuation procedures.
  • Conduct background checks on new hires and contractors as requested by the Human Resources Department.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security laws and regulations.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 5+ years of experience in network security, threat intelligence, and risk analysis.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT incident response.
  • 2+ years of leading a team of IT professionals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity preferred.
  • Familiarity with security laws and regulations (PIPEDA, GDPR, PITA).
  • Security framework experience (NIST, ISO27001).
  • Understanding and configuring firewalls, VPNs, and encryption technologies.
  • Strong grasp of operating systems and network protocols (Windows, TCP/IP).
