Environmental Safety Specialist

About the Job:
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental, health, and safety principles and be able to apply them in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular audits to ensure regulatory compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement training programs for employees to enhance their knowledge of EHS policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of EHS initiatives.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in EHS performance.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of EHS metrics and performance indicators.
- Cochair the Joint Health and Safety Committee to ensure effective communication between employees and management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental studies or comparable experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an Environment, Health and Safety role.
- Strong working knowledge of OHSA, Environmental regulations as applicable to a manufacturing organization.
- Proficient in multiple software applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other industry-related software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
