We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Coordinator (Entry-Level) to support workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are early in their safety career and eager to gain hands-on experience in risk management and safety program implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of workplace health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Support regular risk assessments and safety audits, identifying hazards and suggesting corrective actions.
  • Help ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Assist in organizing and delivering safety training sessions, including new hire orientations and refresher courses.
  • Participate in incident and accident investigations, documenting findings and supporting preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training programs.
  • Support communication with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Work with various departments to integrate health and safety best practices into daily operations.
  • Monitor and maintain safety equipment, ensuring it is available and functioning properly.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a health and safety role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, WHMIS).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Certification in First Aid, CPR, and WHMIS (Must Have).
