At Northern Health Region, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care in the assigned areas, working within an interprofessional team, and functioning within the provisions of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) Standards of Practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical practice, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and deliver patient care in the assigned areas
- Work within an interprofessional team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Function within the provisions of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) Standards of Practice
- Make clinical practice decisions and delegate duties to other healthcare workers as appropriate
- Assume Charge responsibility for a unit(s) and coordinate care on the unit
- Plan and coordinate discharge services with other agencies
- Use resources prudently and effectively
- Give direction to and supervise the activities of others
- Demonstrate initiative and independence in meeting Charge responsibilities
- Current active practicing registration with College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
- Current certification from a recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider, or obtain within three (3) months of commencing employment
- Acute Care of at-Risk Newborns (ACORN) course or acceptable equivalent
- Fetal Health Surveillance
- Intrapartum Nursing
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Two (2) years recent experience in applicable department/unit/program
- Working knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
