Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview
As a Registered Nurse with Northern Health Region, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care in assigned areas. You will work within an interprofessional team and function within the provisions of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) Standards of Practice. You will have the authority to make clinical practice decisions and delegate duties to other healthcare workers as appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills
- Current active practicing registration with College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
- Current certification from a recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider, or obtain within three (3) months of commencing employment
- Acute Care of at-Risk Newborns (ACORN) course or acceptable equivalent
- Fetal Health Surveillance
- Intrapartum Nursing
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Must obtain training on Provincial Breastfeeding education within six (6) months of commencing a position
- Two (2) years recent experience in applicable department/unit/program
- Working knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
- Satisfactory employment record required
- Successful candidate subject to provide security checks in accordance with Security Checks for Employment Policy (HR-02-80). Waived for internal candidates with current checks on file.
