Job Title: Dartmouth Dining Room Host/Hostess

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Dining Room Host/Hostess to join our team at Hearthstone Inn Dartmouth.

About the Job:

  • This is a full-time position with a guaranteed 30-35 hours of work per week.
  • The salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that all guests have an exceptional dining experience by providing excellent service, managing seating arrangements, and addressing any issues promptly.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet customers warmly and escort them to their tables.
  2. Manage reservations and seating arrangements in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Ensure that all tables are well-stocked with linens, glasses, and silverware.
  4. Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  5. Work closely with servers to ensure that all guests receive exceptional service.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including the hostess stand, restrooms, and surrounding areas.
  7. Perform opening and closing duties, as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some post-secondary education in hospitality an asset.
  • Previous experience as a host/hostess in a restaurant or hotel setting an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
